Righty Ho; Recording music to my iMac?

Whats the best way to go about it?

I want to start recording my mixes from my turntables/mixer to my iMac, my mixer has two phono outs for recording but I dont have any phono's on the back of my mac? only the 3.5mm jack?

Also, what programs do you guys use?

Yup you need a phono to 3.5mm cable.

Wack it in the mic.

Use garage band to start with.
