Hey Guys,
Ive been using this forum for a few months now and its has been a huge source of helpful tips, great parts for sale, and much sarcasam and witty banter lol need i mention the DIY bucket induction kit!? so i finally decided to start a project thread which im sure which some will love the majority will hate! But thats all good we all love a bit of banter! So here we goes!
I bought my 2002 phase 2 back in July for a snip at £1750 (he wanted £2150) with 61k on the clock full service history and cambelt done at 56k yeah the body was a bit tatty and the front bumper needed laquer but i work in a body shop so wasnt that fussed
I was happy for a while and did plan to keep it standard but after my previous car a huge beast a Audi A6 i wanted to have some fun again and play about with the clio! So i got a panel filter and some uprated engine mounts as the old ones were knocking and set about just tidying up the car in general.
All my cars in the past have been pretty loud so i decided that a new exhaust was in order but while browsing the forums i came across these cades eros wheels for only £200! They were mint so going for a the euro look i decided to put the exhaust on hold and bought these!
after the wheels i fancied sticker bombing my dash inserts (yes i know its frowned upon here) :rasp: but i thought why not if i dont like it i can take it off?
By this point and loving the stickers (always been a sucker for a sticker) i thought the wheels were too dark against the blue so i wanted to add a bit of colour lol i wanted to go down the fluro route which has been done plenty of times before but i wanted to be a bit different and chose pink!
Bare in mind i work in a bodyshop (and not the bath oil type) i wanted to paint the wheels myself in the garage im really pleased with the finnish might re do them after winter but i think they look awesome! the pics are only crappy iphone ones and they cant really handle the wheels lol they look alot different in person. So anyway after putting on 15"s athe car was desperate for a drop so i bought some coilovers, and rear camber shims, and fitted them the wknd just gone IMO the car looks a hell of alot better and this how she tands at the moment.
The car isnt slammed im just leaving it like this at the moment need to get the front bumper sprayed at work and get the washer jet holes filled in. then maybe some spacers a bit more camber at the rear and strech the tyres and basically go from there! As with every project im skint and doing what i can lol anyway i hope you like my car even if it made you laugh!
Cheers Rob.
(P.S i know im going to get flak!)
