The only sensible words mentioned in here.... this is what you need to learn Rob - thats how you don't wear out a set of pads and ruin a set of discs inside the space of a single day :clown:

What camera was used?

i lent a GoPro 2 I think it was.

That looks seriously f**king quick. The way it stops too!!

cheers, went really well. Think I need to be abit smoother on the brakes next time out though haha.

What sort of power is this running? It's probably been mentioned at some point

its 255ish bhp ATM. Just a mild stage one map, not likely to bend/blow anything up with it like that :)

Lap times??? I'm to lazy to watch the vid.

not too sure josh, not worked them out.

Lovely car mate.

cheers :).

Yes defo I'm looking forward to another good trackday. Yes It's going mate but I will be using it till it sells so will probably get a few more days in :)

Looks quick Rob, really carries the speed well :)

Surprised you and Josh manage to go through DS2500s so quickly. My last set did full days at Brands, Donington twice, and 20k road miles.

I like the grey colour on the Trophy, but the orange is nice too. Maybe even black!

The nimbus grey? The orange is only available on the 225's isn't it?

Cheers Tim I was supprised at how well it carried the speed round there aswel. The rear of the car felt really planted all day especially under heavy braking as the rear of the megs go really light and all over the place.

i don't use the Ds2500's I'm using the DS1.11's, I've never gone through a set of pads in a day before. Ms peaking to a few people and most only seem to get two good days out of the pads, except josh ;). I only ever used two sets of pads in the Clio lol.

Yeah, the colour on the Trophy is my favourite but the orange on the 225 is a close second. Looking at the range, I'd like a Trophy!

Well I've not been on here for a while so not had chance to update any of this thread. Been busy with the car as a few of you already know, so to cut a ing story short over the past few months I've changed the front hub swivel bearings which wasn't too bad of a job, reading what people say about doing them makes it sound a lot worse than it actually is. Time consuming but relatively easy. The main work that has been done is on the inside of the car, i decided to have a full cage fitted to the car as soon as i found out i was getting a company car and the car was no longer needed everyday. After several trips to SW Motorsport to decide on a final cage design i decided on a full 9 point weld in cage painted in white with X door bars and gussets, clio cup racer style vertical door bars, main hoop brace, and diagonal roof bar. Anyway here are some photos of the cage being fabricated,

Once i got the car home it was covered in dust ect so i decided to give at good wipe inside before getting all the seats ect back in...

Really impressed with the cage its made a huge difference the the way the car handles and a massive visual improvement too.

Since the cage went in I've had a play about with brake pads, I've changed from the ferodo DS1.11's and moved to the Carbon Lorraine RC6's which seemed to give a better initial bite and better pedal feel at higher temps on track, heres a few photos from Oulton Park 27/05/2014, the car was perfect all day apart from an issue with one of the bleed nipples on the front callipers in the morning,

Well the car hasn't had a good detail for about 9 months, so today along with Joe i decided to give it a clean. It was filthy and covered in Rubber from the track day last Tuesday, not to mention 9 months worth of iron and Tar haha....

So the products used today were, AF Citrus, Iron X, Tardis, A medium clay bar with dodo juice lube,Meguires Shampoo and finished with AF Triple....relativley simple but much needed clean :), anyway a few pictures;
