I know mate i wasnt going have it done i only went up cause there was a rolling road day on and wanted go see what was running and then thought f*ck it ill put it on as it was a good price and then found out that its loseing power and running rich.Should of asked me come with ya eddie then we could of compared the two
mine defo aint right mate. That was with inlets etc but a generic map FYI
Middlewich its at just off junction 18 on the m6is WGT auto developents in northwich?
Well they didnt offer me any sort of help like a remap or anything they just told me i had problems and needed to go get the maped sorted on it and as you can see from my graphs and other peoples what have been posted here you can oviously see where the problem isLOL!
Few things to think about.
They use a hub dyno dont they? Apparently more accurate than a normaly one, not sure though???
Also i ran mine there, said it wasnt running right and might be rich and could possibly benefit from one of there remaps - Pulling out a convenient before and after from another 172 - DO ONE!
I know mate but at mikeanics his readings dont show the fuel readings and at WGT it showed it was running as rich as a turbo'd car and at mikeanics he did say the power drops off alot after 6500 rpm but i didnt think much about it untill seeing other peoples graphs.Thought you had it done somewhere else aswell mate and got 177 was it? Thats probably a more accurate figure. You know theres nothing major wrong with it as it pulls slightly on mine
Unless theres summet up with mine too lol
get it to RS tuning in leeds - the truth will be told then
I need get mine on to see if the flat spot I can feel at around 3k-4k is in my head or not lol
at least go get a power run done there
But i have a rolling road printout before it went jamsport and it didnt drop off like that id say its down to the map.yeah that aint right, but dont go blaming jamsport just yet, id bet money you have a knackered CTS/ thermostat/ possible lambda issue
Took my car to WGT Auto Developments today to have a power run and it only made 161.6 bhp at the flywheel they said it was running too rich AFR Perol reading 12.0 what is way too rich and iv not long had my inlets matched and ported and a custom remap at jamsport and they said it made 188 bhp at the flywheel on there rollers so theres a big diffrents there and my other mods are janspeed cat back plus decat and itg maxogen filter so it shud be in the 180s iam not a happy person at all as you cud imagine.
a broken CTS/lambda/thermostat = overfueling its **** off
Fair enough but the car still feels and drives the same way as it did when i picked it up from jamsport so if CTS?thermostats has gone since my map then wouldnt i have noticed the diffrents in power???IT IS POSSIBLE that something on your car has broken after the map by jamsport (unrelated to the map) i do 3 CTS/thermostats every week on average, very common problem - to the untrained eye you wouldnt spot it
I arnt slagging them off in anyway im just saying somthing aint right and when i took my car in to have the inlets and map done they did other work on my car and i was very happy with what they did and i would take my car back there to get work done, im going get it serviced soon so may book it in jamsport so they can check it out too.psycological affect i reckon
just dont go blaming jamsport without solid reason, i hate when people do that as you can potentially ruin a company and their reputation, get it checked by an outside specialist if in doubt
Hi mate yes iv had the maxogen fitted since maping but i rang jamsport up to see if it would need the map tweaking if i had it fitted and he said it should be fine.Did you add any mods after you got the work done i.e the maxogen? Also, this is when the limiter cuts in if its not warm fully, maybe this could be the case? I remember seeing you at jam sport when you picked it up, was pretty cold then. Was your car up to temp at the place you went to recently? Just a thought.
Just speak to mark, he'll sort it out for you mate.
allways used powerstations rollers and quite a few of us belive them to be about right ktech rollers are knackard thats why they are having new ones installed im going to back to ktech in april to have my map adjusted and to see what i it gets on there new rr
a maxogen wont make an F4R run rich, lean yes, rich no
I am a bit baffled by that 197 jamsport did with cams that made 220+, TDF with arguably more extreme mods to the same base car "only" managed 205 or so, so either TDF are s**t or jamsports dyno is a bit "generous"
PMSL, powerstations figures are a joke, just looking at the ATW figures should make you laugh and walk away. Ktecs rollers read fine IMO (within 1bhp of SRR on loads of cars I've seen 1st hand at both places, including mine), they just have a crappy PC which keeps needing the software reinstalling (i've been there at 1am having to do this) and Dynodynamics technical support may aswell not exist in this country. They're getting a new dyno because the new one is just a far superior piece of equipment.
You on about that White cup tdf did? How were his more extreme? My cams are a lot more wilder than what he was running! I had more Mods than cams. Nothing to be baffled about.
who cares anyway what a dyno says, is your car fast? yes - good
