rs turbo clio!

iv got a chance off a 200bhp feista rsturbo rear end damged for cheap;) im think about coverting it all in to a clio 1.2 mk2ph2 i will change evry think over form the feista as mutch as i can how mutch would it cost for coustem made mounts? i no this would be a right f**k on and there easyer engines but no one has done this would like help not pepole telling me how stuiped this sounds

it shouldnt be too hard to mount the engine. you will need custom made shafts aswell id think.

how good are you at welding? mounts can easily be made out of box section but the welds will need to be spot on

yea like i said, make some box section out of sheet steel, it needs to be quite thick though and perfect welds.

RS turbo clio already done. lol. Just kidding, what sort of power would this engine handle? What about the gearbox?

these enignes are good for a reliable (can i say that as its ford??) 200bhp, need major mods to see more, a friend of mine has an xr2 with a cvh and thats running 196bhp atw

overheating will be your biggest problem, make sure you get a good oil cooler on it aswell as a good rad

could use the rs gearbox, dunno if the clocks would work


tbh mate the more i think about this the more its gunna cost, how deep are your pockets?

Would be s**t, 172 conversion would be alot cheaper, more reliable, easier to do, hell i cant think of one benefit of using an RST engine over a 172 engine LOL.

And a 172 engine would be just as quick.
 
turbo doesnt mean better, and as the RST engine is already in a high state of tune, you'll be hard pushed to get decent increases

200 bhp CVH Escort vs standard 172, nothing in it. Raced a lad a few years back.

Anything much more than that and come traction the CVH would nail a 172.

In terms of this conversion i wouldnt bother. Shove the engine in a mk2 Fiesta instead
