Running in a 197

Have just brought a 197 years old with 8k on clock! I have made the jump from a 1.4 Make Clio to a 197.

Is there allot of truth in what I hear that you have to "run in" a 197 to certain amount of miles to get full performance? I would have guessed 8k would be more than enough???

Any advice would be good as I have no previous knowledge of how the engine performs???

just thrash it, renault engines love it, they get quicker with more miles

Run it in so its no longer under Renault warranty HaHa

With 8k on it theres no much to worry about, give it death.

my mate bought his 197 to me with about 70 on the clock and i blew its cam sensor but now it runs like a dream, and is FASTTT!

I've had the privilege of driving 3 197's from new and they definately get better with mileage.

Really go after about 10k...
