well the white 1 with throttle bodies has that... throttle bodies lol, and most of the mrk1 2.016vs run less power standard... so u have an advantage to start with but they have less weight...

The extra bits Mehdi stripped out since york made a fair difference plus his launches were awesome...13.4 really is silly fast for a n/a 2.0!! Damn I need throttle bodies....group buy Ben?

i know the white clio is stripped and on tbs, but i heard there was one williams with cams, few were stripped, and mk1s are more lighter than a mk2, ill strip mine completely run one seat, tune the engine and then we can compare, otherwise i pissed over matt wills standard williams and beat ballcrushers williams

Thing is, a group buy would absolutely drop the prices as mapping would be only 10%, assuming all engine specs were identical.

ben fair play that car sounds mean lol... was sat in the que for the strip looked back and was erm wtf they had taped up all the gaps lol... and it shifts too... driver can change gears well lol him and a white gtt ran i think and it sounded like they were automatics lol...

couple of people were like god thats noisey lol... had a glance in the engine bay its very nice


lawrence u were shifting and should be pleased... if u wanna think of a car to compare against, look at the r5s lol 1.4 engines u have to beat 11.5 lol

Alot of the r5,s were running with slicks!
Plus i suppose they were able to up the boost.
It was the two cups i was trying to match all day but just couldnt get better than 15.2@89mph
Next time im gonna make some changes and see how i get on.

i know 1 of the 5s (white 1) wasnt running slicks and did a 12.3.... that was the boost he turned up running...

there wasnt a law saying u couldnt run slicks lol so thats a poor excuse most of them are 10-15yrs old and have a 40yr old 1.4 pushrod engine lol....

My excuse was that it was my first time on the strip and i ran with the 16" wheels i drove up on.
Traction was better in the far side lane i think but still took me a while to master the lauch.
But with the 5s they up the boost and it can give them that sort of times, plus they probably have kept up with the work on their engines.
I didnt know what to expect, i didnt go prepared enough but next time maybe a different story.
Its great fun and worth the drive up there just for the thrill of it

Malice, Matt was having a few problem with the car on the way down, think the intercooler pipe blew off, so was driving down the motorway a few miles like that, his car developed a knockin noise, did a few runs and called it a day, sensible really as it was his transport home, Im sure when hes got it sorted it will be back flying again.

well lawrance we all agreed that you had the best start out of all of us and the best time well apart from john and the reason for that was ya take offs witch were top. cant knock em at all plus ya 215 50 15 tyrers but bragging about beating a car thats under powerd aint a big win as jph dunn me northy as well plus a couple others so if its a challange you want then a challange you got. and bragging about beating matt wills aint a big win

but i must thank lawrance for letting me use his tyeres as they gave me my best times

just to point out the williams .co.uk boys were on form all getting in the 14s good job fellas but the car for me was clean16vs it was one fast crazy motherf**ker

just a shame bbtunnings clio turbo kept bouncing out of gear and we might have seen a better time than 13.2

Well it seems pretty clear to me....Ive done around 3 or 4 2.2 60 ft times in 40 or so runs at York...at Pod 22 runs 20 2.2 60 fts!! The surface and setup at Pod seems much better than york imo.
