So, I am thinking I want the VU+ overall, seems to have nice images and allows some HD, but not all HD.
Unless I move to a Euro Satellite.

Anyone got any experience with the details of that?

I'd go Technomate of the two.

The VU issues on the duo is enough to put me off.

What issues?
Not read any horror stories, only positives so far.

What box would you recommend?
I would have to say a Vu duo has to be the best get a Chinese knock off though like a vu duo mini its a dual tuner can add a hdd that with a vix or blackhole image is the most user friendly. I would suggest getting a openbox v8s first maybe and seeing what you think you can buy one brand new for like £35 and get 12 month line for the same again which you could always put onto your new box if you wanted to.

That's what i've got, but tends to glitch now n then. So are the chinese ones better?

I would say yes as they have normally revised it a few times and ironed out bugs that the original manufacture hasn't plus they are a lot cheaper. The glitching could be your server.
