Saying bye bye to my clio for a month...

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
:(

well insurance is up tomorow and it will cost £1060 to get covered. however if i wait a month till ive been driving 2 yrs its £792 inc mods. £260 is to good of a saving to miss out on for the sake of a month....so bye bye clio :(

im going to be so lost without my car for a month, but hoping to spend the money saved on petrol etc on some new upgraded shocks so im not lowered with just springs and a nice set of components maybe even a half decent IK and cold air feed.

Already treated myself to a 172 grill and silvervisions as well but not got round to posting pics yet hehe

Make sure it's not on a public road, or you could be looking at a phat fine and some points.

its going in my garage so all is good :)

vinny, i enquired about that but they wanted a bloody fortune for it, nearly double than what ive been paying them, scamming gits...ive been with them 12months and only phoned once when i changed my car

im 20, no no claims (been 2nd driver as drove my mums car for 12months) and then cheapest quote i got last year was £2k to insure so had 2 go 2nd driver again. ive got alloys and lowered 60mm, nothing else other than a bit of ice atm. admiral are the ones who quoted me £792. no one else wanst to touch me with having mods.

I did pass plus aswell knocks a fair bit off. Its cheap but im lacking in speed so seems to much to me lol

have you bought the insurance already cos the price could change from now to then.

Damn 60mm looks good. Im so tempted now, Im going uni in september was thinking about selling the clio as it is, and using the money to buy a saxo vts and insure it for 900 but standard. In a bit of a dilemma as I love my mods on the clio, my zorst is so loud and pops like a b**ch lol

My 1.2 16v has just cost me..........

..........wait for it...........

............£219 fully comp:approve:

Being an old fart has its advantages, even if you do have 6 points on ya license.

But if I was your age, I wouldn't have a 1.2..... ever. At 19 im putting up with the snail pace till the insurance tumbles.... :rasp:

Tommy, try elephant. Put your parents on as additional drivers and yo'll be suprised at the drop ;).

Correct me if Im wrong but I thought admiral and elephant had same underwriters on insurance so the quotes are only a couple of quid different every time.

But Im gona try whacking the rents on..... :approve:

  Audi TT 3.2 V6
my quote is including the rents lol both with 3 points each, but that made no difference in the premium. ive already tried elephant and they were more expensive which struck me as odd.

mitch - im buying insurance on 10th june as i want it to start 10th july...max you can buy it before cover starts is 1 calender month else id have bought it by now. ill be gutted if the price goes up tbh

Yeah they are the same group. But sometimes ytou can get suprisingly diferent quotes. Just try them both, and bell. After I stuck both my parents on with details my premium dropped about £200 and then another £100 when my mum phoned up! unbelievable! I guess it just epends on there no claims, convictions, and whether they like u or not, etc.
