Re: My PH1 172

No not at all, the beam to chassis bolts are the only ones that i havent replaced as they looked fine.

Theres no way i could put my beam back looking like new with old rusty fixings, but yes that little lot was very expensive.

I also went to ECP as my beam bushes where in stock and i grabbed some break fluid while i was there.

Re: My PH1 172

Here you go Craig.

http://www.powerflex.co.uk/black-series/product-details/Rear+Beam+Mounting+Bush/11064.html

Powerflex price them as each bush, god knows why. I got mine from Euro car parts but i had to wait about 2 weeks, price wise they cost me £50.96 + vat for the pair. ECP part number is 973740265

They are new out so i dont think they have them in stock.

Ive waited 4 weeks so far for my bits to be done, my coaters are flat out busy at the moment but im in no real rush just want it done right. (They did my front suspension perfect)

Thanks for the comments matey. :D

Re: My PH1 172

Thanks Scott top man, ill pop down euro parts on my next day off & see if they can get me some & maybe get abit of discount using my mates trade account. What colour are you having the beam done? Yeah you dont mind things taking time as long as they are done right.

Re: My PH1 172

Just satin black mate so it looks factory fresh. I even got the Hel braded brake lines done in black so it looks standard.

If i was ever in a position to get my front sub frame done then it would be sliver. :)

Fitted the bushes but 1st the alloy sleeve has to be pressed into the beam, i cleaned out the powder coating and put some Loctite around the sleeve to hold it into position.

Re: My PH1 172

I was tempted to take my beam off this weekend but couldn't be arsed in the end.

Looks nice, it'll be as clean underneath as it is on top the rate you're going.

Some nice bits in the pipe line then.

Yes mate, gives me something to do ready for the good weather next year.

I only did it as i couldn`t be fitting new coilovers to a rusty beam. My OCD wouldn`t let me....lol

Anyway hows yours coming on?

Re: My PH1 172

Little bit of an update.

These Forge hoses came up for sale on here and as they had only covered 300 miles i bought them. I dont need then just yet but i will fit them when i do the cams/head work.

Managed to get the beam fitted today, cleaned up the brake pipes, fitted the new hand brake cables and ABS sensors along with the pipe clips.
I also removed all 3 steel exhaust heat shields as these where going rusty, these will be going off to the powdercoaters to be blasted and coated in sliver.

Also got the rear Hel brake lines fitted.

I also made a start on fitting the off side rear hub back onto the beam. This is taking a while as i have to clean off the powder coating in the places its not needed.
