Sealant and Wax

I am just about to order a load of stuff from i4detailing and tying to keep costs down a bit.

Dodojuice waxes at the moment have free bottle of lime prime so I am ordering a tub of light fantastic, my question is should I put a layer of sealant between the lime prime and the light fantastic or will i be ok without?

A sealant wont bond to the lime prime, personally I would go AG SRP, Sealant and then wax.

not using SRP because its pain in the arse to see/use on white paint

So as I am going to use Limeprime i should jsut go straight to the wax?

Can you see Lime Prime either once it is worked properly ? Both that and SRP go clear as you work them.

You will need to go straight to wax yes.

Is that dodo limeprime stuff no good then, I was thinking about getting one of the sample kits of the wax and the limeprime. but if its a crock of sh*t then i'll just stick to the SRP, EGP and wax.

It is not bad as long as you just want to use wax over it, it is just not compatible with applying a sealant like EGP over it.

Lime prime is a pre wax clenser really, so wont give anythings. Its like a really light cutting polish essentially, so will remove any remaining crap off the car so the surface is correctly prepped for the wax or selant. If you use this before you wax/seal thats fine, but if you use it afterwards you'll remove the wax/selant you just put down. Lime prime is only essential if you want to give the car a quick once over instead of a deep polish. Put 1 layer of sealant on, then a layer of wax once the car is prepped. Don't put sealent over wax as it doesn't bond.

Lime Prime is a pre wax cleanser - no point using it before most sealants as they won't bond to it.

Cheers. I might give it a go, This £60 tax back thing is burning a hole in my pocket anyway.
