Seating position in a 182, ways to overcome this?

Afternoon everyone

The driving position is really bugging me, is there a way of getting a lower seating position, as i always feel im on top of the car rather than in it :dapprove:

I'm looking at trophy recaro's in a few months but they only lower the position by 10mm if i am correct?

I still need access to the back seats.

cheers stef

Remove the bungs under the seat, this will stop the seat from sliding but it does help the driving position. I did this with mine but only on the driver side.

made a little. Quite easy 4 bolts under the car. Use a 13mm deep socket. Impact gun ideally to save time and then just tilt or rock the seats and pull the black bungs up. you might snap the black bits but dont bin them cos you might want to put them back.

I've just sold my recaros and replaced with standard 1/2 leathers. IMO the seating position with the recaros is higher and more uncomfortable. They are extremely hard seats tbh, i just couldn't find a decent position which didn't give me back ache.

Bit of a bump guys

I am considering removing those rubber bumps/stops whatever they are called. But do i have to remove the whole seat in order to get them off, which if so i have to disconnect the battery?

Yes, you have to remove the whole seat, no you don't have to disconnect the battery. Just so long as you don't disconnect the airbag connecter.

The clios seating position is dire, I've always said it needs the steering wheel to be closer, and the pedals to be further away.

Yeah it really is the only thing that annoys me, which in turn makes me think f**k it....starts looking on pistonheads for other cars haha.

cheers

I am 6'2", and i need more leg and to be lower down, so i am considering getting bucket seats on a super low subframe to achieve this
