I don’t impede on anyone in the Evo, in fact I’ve never had a car that more people pull in for. Sometimes even on B roads lol
I had some utter bellend speed up on me while I was trying to overtake the other day - he looked very smug surging away on his wall of torque in his tdi 18-plate black Merc, and seemingly had no appreciation or even care that his actions would kill me in my non-ABS, non-Airbags, non-PAS, non-ESP, non-anything old car if something came the other way and he didn't let me back in because 'funny' / 'winning'.
These are the people who don't deserve to own the sort of thing they can finance.
I have a few 90’s cars and all of them strike a conversation when I’m out and about in them;
Pug 306
Escort RS Turbo
Volvo 850R
Fiat Coupe 20vT
And I’ve just bought a 328i but it’s dog rough so nobody cares about that.

I had the same happen to me while driving my friends VX220.
I pulled out to overtake a dawdling 14 plate (new at the time) Mercedes and he floored it.
Sadly for the Merc driver, the VX220 was the turbo version and had been chipped, so l absolutely wiped the floor with him. It was viciously fast with 270bhp and weighed about as much as a packet of crisps.
My friend’s young daughter went in it and dubbed it the “Scaremaster”
The Mercedes literally rocked in the slipstream of the VX. I still smile now when l think of it.
Pics of the Escort RST please!!I have a few 90’s cars and all of them strike a conversation when I’m out and about in them;

I went out in a 'stage 4' VX220 Turbo once, it was like going to Alton Towers! I honestly thought my forehead was going to split open! It was too bloody fast!I had the same happen to me while driving my friends VX220.

I only have a few from the seller from when I was trying to buy it. It's currently on a ramp, we put the engine back together last night actually..Pics of the Escort RST please!!
Rover 100s
Sigh.saw another Calibra this morning dragging it's exhaust along the road making a right old noise. Looked a bit of a shed with a carbon effect bonnet with bonnet vents.
Coolio, is it standard ? (mind you, no one ever had a standard one)I only have a few from the seller from when I was trying to buy it. It's currently on a ramp, we put the engine back together last night actually..
It wasn't when I bought it but it is now.Coolio, is it standard ? (mind you, no one ever had a standard one)
Mine's an 850R. Which from a technical and physical point of view is the better car, but the T5-R is the one the Volvo fan boys want.Up until a few months ago my brother had three manual T5 R's (a ropey black one, a green one and a Gul) and a normal T5 (almost exactly the same as mine). All have gone now except the Gul though! It's completely stock and very tidy!
I'm led to believe that if (When?) the diff blows up, you can't get a replacement. From anywhere...?Yeah 850R manual is the one I would go for. Bigger turbo and diff make it the winner for me. The interior is nicer too I think. The leather/suede combo is the wrong way round in a T-5R.
You can fit the K-Series 1.8 engine in those metros...
