service question

  none :(

i brought my 2002 clio second hand but the person who had it before me didint have it serviced until 25000 miles, so do i still need mine doin at 36000 or later also will i lose money on it as its not had proper services.

one more thing how much is the 36000 mile service on a 1.2 16v clio

And there is a good chance that the warranty will have been invalidated.. Renault allow 1000 miles either way between services intervals to keep within the warranty conditions..

i was told by a renault specialist (not a dealer) that they let you off with 1 service!!! sounds a bit odd to me, but thats what the guy said!

Nope. In theory any problems on the car which a service at proper intervals would have picked up they could refuse to pay or only pay a % of the value requiring you to pay the rest.

However its unlikly this will happen as parts failure cannot often be put down to blame on wrong srvicing plus it would give the dealer/Renault a bad reputation so they would pay the full amount (or almost it) I wouldnt realy worry about it just do the normal service at 36k and forget about it.
