Should I strip my car?

Car  White Evo V
I get my car back next week with a nice power boost, a supercharger. Im going for the racer/track look and I am wondering whether I should strip the rear of the car out? e.g rear seats, parcel shelf, rear 1/4 panel cards.

Whats your view? Im totally undecided, I dont really need 5 seats but has anyone striped their car and found it a bit of a pain on the odd occasion when you do need more than 2 seats?

yes!!!!! love those wheels mate spot on, it takes all of 20 minutes to refit the seats and belts do it!! lol

I wouldn't. But then I do think a Charged standard looking Clio would be much better than a modded one.

Just partially strip it like myne :)

It would take less than 10 mins to put the seat's back in but still look's good like this

I would strip it, mainly because you will get the maximum power/weight. Which makes sense when youve spent so much on the conversion.

If you strip it do the rear properly!! Really worth it for all the power you will have anyway? :) Would look mint though.

I have mine stripped and have to lob the rear seats in now and again, takes me like 15 minutes so no bother really.

Is that net the only thing holding that wheel in place? If it is I wouldn't want to be you in a crash!

The the OP - strip it. It's the only way. And next time I'm near Leeds take me out in your car.

If you're going to strip it, go the whole hog....trim/carpets/tar, not just the rear bench imo.

Thats the thing though, he's only going to remove the rear seat and plastics. They weigh the same as a bowl of cereal so aren't worth bothering with. All imo of course.

^^^ i see where your coming, from, if it isnt properly stripped it does look a bit s**te, like with the edge of the carpet sticking up and that, unpainted etc

I agree.

I took rear bench and spare out, then everything. It felt no different to the rear bench and spare out. Plus, it didn't go back in too well.

Yeah ur right, I think if I strip it I need to do it properly, what does this consist of?

Seats, carpets, sound deadening, plastics, belts, airbag loom, airbags, door cards, rear isofix bar, speakers......

LOTS! lol.

Stripping it takes two mintues. All you need is a 17m spanner, a socket set and a T50 and 25.

Erm, my strippage isn't to the above extent.

yeah get it all out mate. so much better to drive and considering the conversion your having done, you know it makes sense ;)
