anyway trying to save the pennies and been driving around so sensable the last week or so changing gear at like 2000rpm sometimes less.

anyway my car usualy shows anywhere between 43.5 and 47.8 MPG but this week i got this ...

i was extremely chuffed as i put £10 in and gets me around 260 odd miles including i have a cat back exhaust system which i thought was pritty good tbf!

anyway..

havn't checked this in a few days and i was shocked to see what it was showing on the jurney home from collage.

which was ...

i drive a 1.2 16v clio

what kind of MPG is showing on your cars ? ? ?

How the hell do you get it above 35 never mind 69 !!!

Had my 1.2 nearly 2 year and not once have a i seen it go up past 35, thats inc a week of rev till about 2000. God knows how u lot do it.

38 average on mine over 300 miles. When I work it out myself its about 36 in real terms.

i have no idea . just been driving sensable everywhere. no neving , no putting my foot down anywhere. as someone said yes it is very boring but speed limmit is 70mph why rag it up to that and waste petrol!

52mpg was the max i got and that was going down a hill at 30mph in fifth gear lol

How quickly does it take for the computor to read what your doing ? I wudnt of thought going down a hill in 5th would be long enough ?

My 1.2 16v dynamique used to go over 55 regularly and even when i used to nial it like a joy rider it would still show over 40. The 182 never goes below 30-34 even when going bonkers. Currently getting 300plus to a tank the v-power. Hoping this will rise after my remap.

should show it immediatly. i reset mines while driving and i just watched it go infront of me till 52 but coldnt squeez anymore than that. then i got to the backroads and i averaged 25mpg

everytime i fill up and restarts my trip comp the 'average consumption' is mighty high.Even if I drive like a nanny.
The only time I had a 'good' average consumption was when I reset my trip comp whilst driving down a motorway behind a large semi :rasp:

I carnt reset mine, it used to reset all the time when i had a dodgey battery but now when i hold in button it does nout, racked up over 4000 miles since it reset

The highest i've seen.. (actually made 46 but by the time i got my phone out at the trafic lights it showed this)

This was taking it easy on the way home straight after i put petrol in, also before i had my inlets matched so i'd probably get more now
