Side Repeaters *Fitting* *Removing*

  A few
Got some side repeaters off here. The smoked ones.

Ive got two questions though :p.

1. When indicating, will you be able to see the light flashing coming through the smoked repeater?

2. How are these fitted?
(I've sone a search and seen a few posts saying use a teaspoon or a screw driver).

But is there are proper way of removing them? and fitting the new ones? Dont fancy taking a screw driver to them:approve:.

They just pull out, but you'll need something to put in the cut out bit at the top of them. If you tape up the blade of the screw driver that will be ok.

The bulbs will be orange, yeah you'll still see them.

if you have orange bulbs you can see them flashing yep.

screwdriver is easiest, just use a cloth or something to keep you off the bodywork. Just slip it in behind the side repeater and move the screwdriver back and fourth.. kind of haha. gosh im so bad at explaining things. u will be able to feel it coming loose. dont be too harsh though could snap it. new one just clips in. meh hope that helps :p

Put some tape on the wing , duck tape , packaging tape etc.... so you won't mark the paintwork . Use a small flat blade screwdriver to prise the side repeater out . You'll definitely still be able to see it flashing .

Get some chrome / amber bulbs .

Are the chrome bulbs still as bright as the orange ones? and will you be able to see the standard orange ones through the smoked repeater? or would you deffo change it to chrome?

When i changed my side repeaters for the smoked ones i changed the bulbs for the chrome ones at the same time so i can't say how they look with the orange bulbs .
You can still see them flashing with the chrome bulbs and smoked side repeaters .

My smoked side repeaters from http://www.body-kit.co.uk/product.php/3961/1776/renault-smoked-side-repeaters

They look alot darker on the website , in real life they match the 182 amphasite alloys perfectly ;)

Is there much difference?

I was thinking of getting some for the front of my car aswell. But i dont think you would be able to see the orange coloured bulb through the smoked repeater. But i may be wrong.

There is a fair bit of difference yeah. The fronts will be fine.

its easier to slip a credit card behind the side repeater to depress the clip to take them off. No risk of damage to the car then.

Will these deffo fit my car? mk2 ph2? Going to be some.

Yeah , they will fit . You need bulbs with the offset pins .

I can't vouch for the quality of these bulbs , it was just an example , i have Philips silvervisions but alot of people seem to be happy with the cheaper bulbs .
