Side Strips - Phase1 Clio 16v

Anyone know if these come off easily? How are they held on? Would there be big holes underneath if pulled them off, or do you think itd look alright?? I just think they look really ugly, and i dont even want to get them painted, just removed!

They just slide off, but the bodywork is not shaped (ie. flat) under them, and will look crap if they are not there!

My car is the Phase 1, Clio 16v - (1994) in case you were thinking it was a 172?? Ive been told there are big pins holding them on, and that there would be huge holes left if i removed them?

Nick the rubbing strips have grommit type things on the phase 1 16v that leave holes in the bodywork.

Its just not possible without LOADSA work!!!!
Either
a) Paint them, or
b) Take them off, and as youre gonna have to filler-out the holes the plugs leave, fill the WHOLE gap along the length of the car. THEN paint it!

The choice is yours.....!
