Silicone Elbows

What diamater 90degree elbows do people use on 1*2s? I have just come accross a supplier for some which I think are pretty cheap. Before I go further with sorting out a deal for you guys I wanted to double check sizes and prices.

theres someone sorting out some of these threw SFS at the moment, so might be worth holding out and see what happens with that one. Theres a thread about for it somewhere

am pretty sure the ones I will be able to get will be SFS ones anyway, they will just be 90degree elbows though without the extra bit specific as on the samcos

are you on about the 90 degree bends on merlin for 20 notes?

Does the job ;)

bargain price imo!

Trimmed the old pipe from the plenum. Better than fitting a proper samco 172/182 induction bend. Warm contaminated air back into the breathing system ftl!

You dont smell anything when its not connected and it does no harm. When funds allow i might think about a catch tank.

no but it is a breather and im sure at some point like turning car over it will suck air in rather then blow it out. So unfiltered air going into engine

im not the only one who thinks this then lol. But still that elbow and a breather would be a lot cheaper then the samco elbow with built in breather

Well its been like that for over a year and theres yet to be any problems. Imo i dont think its an issue.

just met this guy actually, purely by accident. He seems a top bloke. Has built a couple of short wheel base audi quattros and has an intergrale he uses for hill climb. He is a turbo specialist but can supply all the silicone elbows etc etc.

easy peasy to check.. pull out the breather-tube before the TB and there you have the size you need

This would be really helpful for the simota groupbuy.

Have PM'd you Kam Racing.

If you could get a kit together, that would be great!

could see the price of these combined wiping the floor with anything else. Even the SFS ones that are being made up

i opted for a solid elbow and an oil breather on the sub. nice setup if im honest and better than the current samco efforts for the ph1

Good stuff. Any problems or noticeable differences?

Is your oil breather on the end of the breather pipe or direct fit?

i got a samco type 1'' bore tubing and ran that across the bulkhead, and tucked the breather just by the headertank so its secure and out the way of the majority of heat. absolutely no problems, and the only way you know its fitted is because it makes a noise on idle.

For the people who know :)

Is the OEM setup in any way also to lube the TB valve ?

I notice there is pretty much oily substance in the TB whenever i have the filter off.. therefore I think it would really help keep things clean in there when you tuck away the tube with a little breatherfilter.

But once peoples reactions were that it's designed to also oil up/lube the valve ??
