silver 1.2 cheap, cheap, cheap!

So, got this car off my brother for the price of £0

My mam bought a new car, my brother got her car and i needed something cheaper to do 30 miles over the winter a day to work than my toyota supra so here we are!

Needed a few bits for the Mot to get it back to being good mechanically:

new front top mount and bearing £15.54
new post cat lambda sensor £64.58
new thermostat £9.36
new exhaust clamp £4
2 x track rod ends £18.72
which were all new parts.

So the whole point in this thread is to do some changes on the car, keep it in good mechanical order and list the prices i have paid for parts as i go to give people and idea of what this cost! I will not include postage costs for the parts as this would vary as some people can pick items up etc etc
Also cheap being the main objective

First part i bought was a new spoiler to replace the black plastic one.

Before the haters jump on me, i know its not the same silver, the spoiler is iceberg silver but that wont matter when i get further on with this quest!

Next was new indicator bulbs to get rid of the orange ones!

decided im going to start with the rear of the car first and work my way forward!
Also i removed the rear wiper as the motor wasnt working so seemed pointless to replace!

Post came today with a clio sport chrome handbrake button! Mind the mess, it was used as a work van for a while

Haha tell me about it! Been doing a loft out over the last few weeks and its just dust insulation and general crap! Once the job is done it will get cleaned lol

I like the little mods done on this so far, especially the spoiler, makes a pretty big difference to the appearance!
Find it funny how you have done so many things already but still haven't fixed those rusty screws on the front reg, that would really bug me if it were my car haha ( I know you said you're starting at the back, but still!)

Haha! I know they look awful, but its in the plan and i dont want to be paying for the same thing twice, but it will be sorted!

I started polishing one side but realised i had nothing to polish it up with

Has a top secret carbon fibre bonne, top secret front bumper aland 18 inch prodrive wheel as well but theve been put on after i sorned it

So spent a few hours this morning doing this:

Front wings £50
Front bumper £50
and what a nightmare, both bolts for the wings where the scuttle panel is snapped when i was taking them out, the bolts that hold the wings/front bumper where rusted in place and half crumbled when i put the 10mm socket on! So when i finally got them off i had to clip it all in place loose and slowly drive to screwfix for some stainless nuts and bolts! Glad i dont have to do this again, the bumper will come off once more but that will definatley be it!
Also i didnt have foglights but the loom was behind the bumper, so i also bought a stalk with front fogs on and plugged it all in but still doesnt work, had a look in the fuse box but there isnt a slot for the front fogs so guess that isnt going to happen!
