I suspect they put the Rally3 and Rally4 cars in because they were increasingly glaring omissions for a game that's supposed to reflect the current WRC. Not having the latest cars in didn't look very good. I'm fine with it to be honest, as I spend more time driving cars like that than all the fancy Rally1/WRC type machinery.

Will be interesting to see what they do next, and whether they wait now and do a heavily revised version at the end of this year/early next.

Downloaded RBR tonight. Seems to be working ok on the laptop with just keyboard inputs (though is obviously impossible).

Will connect to the TV tomorrow and see if it works so smoothly when I try to connect the wheel etc!

Daughter can drive in July so was thinking get her started on the Sim Rig for the basics. Also a good excuse to add clutch and gears :)

I see there is this one but doesn't seem to have British rules.

Or this one coming in May

Set her up in VR and can teach her the basics.

Good idea or do more harm than good?

I’ve got City Car Driving somewhere but haven’t really used it. I will say that I did most of my learning in Live For Speed - the clutch physics are pretty good and the circuits all have public roads you can drive on.

BeamNG is probably the best though, the clutch physics is very accurate and there’s all sorts of mod layouts with simulated traffic.

Just pre-ordered the GT Omega Prime Lite-R.

Been researching rigs for a few weeks now, really do fancy one. I was going to get a basic aluminium tube cockpit but I watched Karl Gosling's review of this small profile rig and it looks really good.

I need to decide on a chair now, I don't like the look of a shitty old car chair, the GT Omega ones look alright but don't know if they are any good? Some cheap ones on marketplace that look basically new though if I go down that route. Any other suggestions? I'd like recline and slide, but could live with just slide.

Wheel wise, I think I'm going to go with the T598, if anyone knows a way to get them on a discount that would be handy too. Amazon/Currys/Argos all have stock it seems.

Not in a rush as I'm away until July, the prime won't come until late June anyway, so can wait for things to pop up on offer. Not willing to wait @mace¬ levels of time though :ROFLMAO:

July 2026?

I've got the Prime Lite Which I think is the same as the R but comes with the side mount, I've got the monitor mount fixed to the rig as well, probably wouldn't do that if I went back again although it does look quite cool. Only other issue I have is that I need to tighten the seat back into the mount every few months because it works loose.

I went for the fixed bucket Inertia seat. Its alright, does what it says with no flex just the bolts issue.

Is the the side mounts on the bucket? Or the mounts into the rig itself?

Maybe threadlock would make all the difference if it's taking months to work loose?

It is rails on the rig itself. So yeah, it is not the seat, it is the rails that come loose fixing to the rig. I guess that is standard whatever seat you get.

I've got the prime lite. Very happy with it. As for the seat, I went with the GT omega rs9 seat as it was the only one they had in stock when I ordered the rig.

Comforts ok but it creaks and groans a bit. I thought the recline and slide would give plenty of options but to be honest, I hardly ever move it . If I was to buy again, I'd probably go with either the GT omega chase or inertia.
