Small Light next to Gear Stick

I've got a little orange light to the upper-left of my gear stick and I can't for the life of me figure what it might be...

The immobiliser light flashes on the dash and I've got a Renault plinker key, so I can't see it being an after-market alarm system, but what could it be? :S

its the alarm LED is it not? thought they came as standard on all 172's?

Yeah, should be the alarm LED, different to the immobiliser.

Thanks, it just seemed so out of plate, looking like an after-market mod, especially when the immob light is neaty placeed on the dash.

I guess so few Clios in the range have alarms, the light wasn't part of the standard electronics.

I dont think the alarms are fitted at the factory, they are fitted at the docks when they arrive or at the dealors so thats why the light looks slightly out of place.

That could explain my 4k revs dashboard shake then as well I guess

correct. Or not at all if you have an EU import.

Yep, they're all technically aftermarket (Cobra IIRC), and it's Renault, so a bit of a botched-on LED job.
