Smoking light questions

When smoking the mk3 rear lights, is the clear middle circle still quite visible or does it all look the same? Does anyone have any pics of DIY tinting on mk3 lights?
Im considering leaving the centre circle taped over as well as the reflectors and fitting some silvervisions. Could someone please do a photoshop of that?

i assume you mean the Mk2 Phase2 rear lights from the information about you car i.e. 51 plate. The Mk3 Clio is the 197 shaped cars. There are some pictures of a Mk2 Phase1 set of rear smoked lights in this thread

Oh yea I keep seeing them as clio III's and get mixed up.

I assume im gna have to go pretty dark then, i dont want there to be a marroon/grey kinda look going on.

How far you go is up to you, you could have them lightly smoked K-tec do a couple of sets that look ok where the red light section top and bottom have been smoked, I'd also check e-bay as you can pick up some rear lights from £30 for standard (nice to have a spare incase it goes wrong) or from £50 for the Non Standard and I don't just mean Lexus style either there are some tasteful different style ones to be found if you decide against smoking them yourself.
