solenoid problems

to open my boot, you have to push the buton on the boot lid which inturns opens the lock and opens the boot, simple, but my solenoid is a pull mechinism and im stumped on how the hell to make it work from being a pull mechanism and some where down the line it ending up pulling the rod that sits inside the bootlid up so that can open the tailgate, i know people have done it but could some one tell me how? couz atm i have a perminantly locked boot lol, thanks :approve:

is it a very long cable with a lever on the end?, just open up your tailgate, drop the lining off and have a look at the mechanism on where you can take a bar off and pop your cable onto. make sure its secure to so when you pull, it only pills the catch and dont rub against anything

its just a long peice of wire coming out of the solenoid its self, but theres no where to atach the solenoid above the lever so it cant pull diretctly up, its got to be mounted on the side so the wires coming from an angle, basicaly it will pull the rod to the left, intead of pulling it directyl up
