u dont have to go inside a saxo to open bonnet. just put ur hand under passener wheel arch and pull on bonnet cable and up she pops

I reckon it should be fairly safe to drill a fuel tank from the bottom even if it's made of metal - As I understand it petrol itself isn't flammable, it's the vapour it produces that is highly flammable. So as long as the tank is reasonably full you'd be okay.

Not that I'm encouraging this practice of course. Though with petrol prices being as ridiculous as they are and set to get ridiculouser it's only going to get more common.
