  clio 182
Alright folks,

Just done my back brakes last night discs and pads torqued everything up to what they should be.

First off when I got in the car my hand brake pulled right up but it seems to be better now is this normal and whats the therey behind it?

Secondly this morning when I'm braking it's spongy and I here a hissing noise.

Any help would be great cheers.

best of luck

be gentle with those nipples

its easier with a second person to pump the peddle

by winding the pistons back in to accomodate the new pads, you disturb the automatic handbrake ratchet mech in the caliper - just need to pump the foot pedal to reintroduce pads to disc and it should self-adjust

could just be that the new pads need bedding in

Cheers,

I've noticed now that when the hand brake is on it goes solid when I press the brake a few times but if I do it with the hand brake off it doesn't feel as hard. I'm going to bleed them though there will be no harm in it. once a get a minute.
