Spring Clamps

Right guy I am kind of expecting to be shot down in flames for asking this but hey. I am going to be fitting some coilovers soon and am wondering if I need spring clamps as I will be using my original top mounts. or is there any other (safe) way to take them off?

also anybody know a good place to get them setup after fitting in the reading/slough area, or can i take it down the local tyre place?

Don't need compressors on 172/182 springs mate They arn't compressed at all really.

Cheers for the quick reply Eka, although in my haste I forgot to say it has lowering springs on standard shocks. will this make a difference?
