squealing belt?

I no theres loads of threads on these but couldnt find any that matched my problem. After a damp night or in the rain i get a squealing noise sounds like a belt but it only normal happens when turning? and normally only does it once then wont do it again for the rest of the day? Any ideas? Is there anything i can tighten up or lube? Cheers

Both belts were only replaced a couple of months ago, so is it just a case of getting it tightened up?

could be one of 2 things. belt may need tightening a little, or the battery could be a little weak, and with the strain of starting, the alternator is working a little harder. Try the belt first

Is it possible to tighten the belt myself? If so how or best going to the garage? Sorry not very mechanically minded!

if its the alternator belt just loosen the alternator and pull it back to loosen somme slack

offer a mechanic a few quid to adjust it for you if you're not good with tools. will take a few minutes
