Squeek/chirp @ around 1000rpm

  AB 182
Cars starting to chirp/squeek when pulling away from a standstill/low rpm roughly around 1000rpm definately think it's from the Alternator/aux belt area.

Any cause for concern? Took it to someone and was told the aux belt tensioner may be the problem. The belt seems to be tight though *confused* Can't find any documentation of the tensioner being changed in the service history, just the idler. Also been told it could be the Alternator bearing. Any ideas please?

Will be getting a second opinion later this week, will also get a vid up if my explanation is poor lol

yes i think its the alternator mate pop the bonnet and listen to the alternator. i had this too and it made the noise for over a month then the engine management light came on then the thing just packed in when it ran out of battery. it was in the garage for over 2 weeks so watch if u get it done at a garage they tryed to butcher a bigger one onto mine before i went bush at the warrenty company to get a genuine renault one put on lol.. but problem is gone now :D

Thanks for your reply mate. Good that you got sorted with your problem.

Seems to of gone today, but i think thats more down to me pulling away with more revs than usual.

Still not sure if it's soley the alternator in my car though, also would of thought looking at the service history the "specialist" would of done the aux belt kit not just the bearing and belt when doing the cambelt, obviously not the case FFS
