Squeeking brakes in reverse - worn pads?

Theres a squeeking noise when I reverse, usually with some lock on. Just read an old thread that suggests that this is a sign of worn front brake pads. Is this true?

I think my pads are on their way out anyway, so this would make sense. (I'm checking the pads at the weekend)

Thinking of going for EBC Greenstuff pads as replacements

Nope unlikly more likly your wheels are catching abit on the arches.

I'd stick with stock personally as there fine realy. Only upgradr if you can fade the stock setup or there the same price IMO.

i faded the front stock ones the other day in mine, although it may have been because I'd recently fitted new front disks!

I'd bet the fluid was worn as well which would have been the main cause.

Stock pads are very good on your car there the same as fitted to a 150hp homogologies rally car.

I seriously doubt its the wheels catching on the arches. Its a definately a metalic squeeking noise and it does it when the wheels are straight also.

I've never faded the stock pads. Part of the reason I'm tempted by the Greenstuff's is there supposed to give off less dust and they don't cost much more than stock's.
