Standard Airbox

Whoever had the car before me has whacked an open cone KnN filter on the car, which i like the sound of, but id rather go back to a standard airbox and uprated panel filter instead, i have a feeling this induction kit is experiencing heatsoak :( and ideas on price?

Yeah its best with standard unless you get something decent like a ITG Maxogen. Standard box and panel filter is the route I have gone down. Try and get a secondhand airbox. Not sure how much a new one would be. :)
 
phwoar those maxogens are as expensive as my cambelt and bits service :eek:

edit, anyone tried the BMC CDA's on their cups? theyre enclosed
 
I thought the V6 airbox was the next best thing to a Naxogen. You can buy them brand new from renault for £60 and then you should pop a ITG filter in it :)
Thats what i'l be upgrading to in a week or so

Is it a straight swap then? any other bits you would need to get to fit it. :):cheers:
 
Its a tight fit but they do go in, basicly the same as the ph1 172 airbox but just with a single larger airfeed. Good mod for £60 if you dont have a ph1 box already :)
