Standard stereo in Cup

Getting my new Cup in about a week & a half and wanted to know if the standard CD head unit was any good???

Does it play CDRs too?!



Also, are the speakers 1/2 decent or are they crap?

IMHO get rid of the standard head unit, you will notice a big difference

i played my CD-Rs but not sure if it is supposed to or not

the speakers are awful, change them

But in all cars, there standard stereos aint very good! car companys should stick to what they are good at! making cars not choice of in car hifi!!! I mean, some people fork out like £300 for a cd player upgrade in a car & its still more pants than the average £120 Sony cd player! They are rip offs! I think there should be an optional extra where they leave there ICE out and drop the price by £500 or somet !

The system in the 172 was acutally quite good i though for a standard system.

Obviously its nowhere near as a full aftermarket kit, amps etc.. but its not bad for standard.

Well you were right...

The standard speakers are poo, but the HU seems ok, so Im gonna ditch the standard ones and get some better speakers.
