Started my own cleaning business!

Has anyone actually looked into getting insurance to cover themselves when cleaning other peoples cars. What would you do if you accidentally put a huge scratch down the side of that nice black Audi? Do you have any idea how much it would cost to get it repaired????

I certainly don't have any - would be a case of making a Tom shape hole through the nearest wall I think and moving to Mexico...

If I did it full time I would though, probably get a special drivers insurance so I could drive other peoples cars too. Don't do it enough to warrant it TBH.

I cleaned a house for a friend of mine who's into property a couple of years ago he was well chuffed and passed my name onto his friends and it steadily picked up from there it just use to be me and a friend now theres 3 of us. most of our work is on student houses at the end of term and we only work evenings so we can fit it around our kids, we charge £8 an hour per girl and a student house can sometimes take 7-10 hours so its a good little earner for us. So if the lady with the audi tells her friend and she tells her friend you may well end up with more business than you expected. Could well be the next richard branson so good luck.

tbh i dont mind cleaning and polishing other peoples cars, i have high expectations.. but when it comes to doing something of my own, im just lazy, its like ah f**k it i cant be arsed lol
That's why painters live in undecorated houses and plasters have lots of exposed brickwork and builders have half finished porches lol.
