Ok well in the 172 ive got loads of leads from a nokia phone kit doesnt fit my phone so its out, but the steering wheel controls now dont work as the wires went to that aswell sooo...

has anyone got any pics of the upper dash display workin with a alpine headunit?

and what leads did you use?

Cheers Ryan

Ryan, the nokia kit was connected via an autoleads cable/amplifier arrangement. Just unplug the ISO box at each end, which will then leave you 2 ISO blocks, one attached to the car, one attached to the back of the alpine, plug them together, job done. ( I fitted it myself, no wire cutting at all.....plug and play) Steering wheel controls nothing to do with the car kit wiring.

Oh, and upper dash display doesnt work with the alpine, although I have heard other people have alpine displayed on it, but no moving lcd display is available(not that you need it)

The older alpine adapters don't allow the head-up display to come on at all. The newer versions are able to display ALPINE. Still do the same job :)

Hope this helps

Did the pause function and the scroll-wheel work ok with the Alpine?
