Well on the adaptor there are two fuses and both seem in tack but surely the clock should still be on?
Il change the fuses and make sure its all connected right though. Anything else it could be?

Are you sure you haven't pulled any wires too hard from the display? Are they the correct way round? Not quite sure what you could have fucked up, if the fuse is ok.

haha me neither
il go swap the plugs over but i havnt touched the clock display thing so not sure why its broken. If a fuse is broken does the metal arch bit inside break? as it looked the same but i swapped it anyway.

If a fuse blows, then yes, the metal arch breaks. If you've swapped it with a new one, it can't be that.

The display for the radio won't work with a non oe headunit, unless you have an adapter, but the clock and temp should still work. Changing the h/u shouldn't interfere with those.

I just went to see if id plugged things in the wrong place however they only fit in 1 place. Basically i have the cable that means the 2 plugs that are standard can fit into the 1 plug on my HU. I didnt disconnect the battery, could that have caused it?? I dont know what else to try. Might try to put the original HU back in and see if it works

No, no need to disconnect the battery. Seriously don't know what's happened. Apart from you've managed to pull the plug out the back of the display. Plug the oe one back in and see what happens then.

Well iv taken the top of the dash off and did look at the clock display unit and nothing looked disconnected. Il try to put the original 1 back in and see if it works although the clock display unit should still work if the stereo isnt shouldnt it. Is there nothing else that could have gone wrong apart from the fuse and pulling out a wire?

Yeah the time and temp should display even if there's no headunit in there. No I can't think of anything else that you could have done apart from disconnect something somewhere.

than disconnecting a wire. I was testing to see if it was working by turning the keys and turning it back off again and think i may have left it on so all the electriacals were working :( The interior light doesnt work, the mirrors dont work, the original stereo dont work and the clock display dont work. Any ideas what iv broken. Thanks for the help mate

You have probably blown a fuse under the bonnet somehow then. You'll need to have a look in your handbook to see what fuses power the things you've mentioned. There's a fusebox in the car, and one under the bonnet. You'll need to check both.

is it just a case of the display bulbs arent lighting up but the clock is working?seen that before, try it when its darker with the lights on and see if you can faintly make out the display
