Stock 182 seat height

Just a question when ravaging a Clio Campus for spares today. Having removed the front seats, the little castor 'risers' were underneath - but are they necessary?

I'd like the idea of dropping my seats slightly if possible, but am acutely aware that there might be more exposure to the elements outside without them in place.

Any suggestions on what to do in lowering the seats with the least amount of fuss?

Thanks.

There are rubber bungs that cover the outer bolts that will stop water ingress, the inner bolts are behind the exhaust heat shield. You could put a thin bit of rubber like an inner tube to stop ingress of the centre nuts.

The only other thing to consider is that it’s a bit stiffer to adjust the seat but if you don’t use it often then it’s not going to be an issue.

Removing those is the only way to lower standard seats. People have been doing it for years. As above though, just makes it harder to adjust the seat as it catches on the carpet more.
