Stripes, going.... going!

OK,

As many of you are well aware (and like to remind me). The 1*2 moneypit has got stripes.

Always has since Igot the damn thing, alright!

But, they're looking a bit worse for wear... most likely because I dont spend 8 hours a week cleaning the car.

So, full up-and-over body stripes, they're probably going to have to go sooner or later. Possibly leaving me with:-
1) black stripes against not-quite-so-black paint
2) stripped paint.

THese stripes could well have been on the car for 8 years, am I at risk of ripping the paint away with them?

How should this best be tackled.

Any advise of someone/where around West London that will get the stripes off and polish the car up?

To be fair if you don't manage to pull the paint off at least it won't rust, the Clio is galvanized.

hair dryer I have...... not sure about the patience.

Got a bodyshop down the road from work, will see what they come back with. It sounds like it'd take no time for a professional.
