Stripping Roof lining?

After some lovely little f*****s football has landed on my roof, I have some scratches to polish out and have just noticed that there is also a fair dent to go with them but luckily no creases.

Couple of questions,

1) Is it easy to take the roof lining out on the back half/ quarter?
2) If so, is the roof (not side panel) just above the rear window double skinned or just a simple sheet that could be pushed back up?

When i had a dent in roof done, no need to remove lining???????

Good guy in Notts area did mine, thumb size dent above drivers seat.

Got it out in the time it took me to make him a drink!!!!!!!!!!

^^ How did he do it? The only way I could think of to fix it was to push it up from inside.

think some dents can be removed using glue techniques\methods.

Bar went in between lining & rubber seal.
