Styling advice needed please

2 questions.

Firstly can anybody tell me where to get a decent bee sting style aerial? I want a black one so it looks factory only shorter. I have got one of those alloy short stubby things from demon tweaks but the radio reception was always really crap and now the thing has corroded and gone all manky anyway.

Secondly, my clio has the 14" RSi style alloys, which i cant afford to replace at the moment. However I could get them refurbished and re-sprayed whilst I am at it. My car is the same paint code as the Williams Blue, so what colour wheels would you go for?

I thought gold might be a bit of wishful thinking, but what about white? Motorsport look or tacky?

Peugeots have the aerial you want, black and short. The screw thread is the same as Renault, get one from a scrappy.

If youre spraying the wheels and theyre 14s go for the motorsport look, white will look good.

Hey Jon, I rang Lionel last week to ask him about fitting skirts and a splitter.

I also asked him about colour coding a few bits and pieces. The problem is Im not sure exactly what I want to do yet. I though I might go up and see him when I get back from Uni this weekend.

Hows your car coming along? Were you having the bonnet de-badged?

i havent seen it yet, ad yes hes having the badge off (oooops!!!)

Badge off, bad boy plate welded on (made from a metro arch apparently!!!) then smoothed over

Ben i change my mind all the time, lionel will tell you, i never know what i want oding. Your best bets to go up there have a word and book it in for the first thing you think of.

Funny thing is I may stop work on my clio now, looking at getting a Pulsar GTi-R

Did you ever see that launch, one the quickest things ive seen around, will surge a skyline to 60.

HKS Full System - 32bhp increase, tune it up and it would run 12s.

Seeing BenPs message here about the bee sting aerial, and looking at some pictures in the gallery I noticed that the Mk2 172 has the aerial at the back of the car and the Mk1 has the aerial at the front. Why the change of position?

16 valves.


All none (mostly) 16v cars have the aeirial at the front. 16v have it at the back...i think its because it makes it look quicker. Its always a rough guide to tell if someone has a 16v or not. It works on all makes.
