Hi guys! Really need some help on this one! I installed a FLI active enclosure in to the clio over the last few days and can't get it to work properly:-/. RCAs are running down a separate side of the car to power and remote, it is grounded to where the rear lights ground on the right, when I turn the gain up even past a quarter all I get is very loud pulsing like a heartbeat, my interior lights also pulse with this and my rear wiper goes off? Wtf right? Can anyone help with this?? Also I am using a kenwood kdc-bt41u if that helps. Thanks in advance. Also no power errors on the unit.

Subwoofer problems! Constant loud pulse, dashboard lights pulse?

I don't think it's the ground because I tested it with a multimeter and the circuit was fine

I've unplugged it now but basically I used the one just below the rear right headlight
I didn't use a ring terminal though I used a clip thing that tapped into another ground wire
A little plastic clip yeah, is that not a good idea then?
Unless your on about the plastic screw that holds the headlight in, if you are then no I did not use that, I used a grounding bolt behind the carpet near the bottom of the light but as I say I used a plastic clip

you used a scotch lock from your description... they are pants mate and im constantly redoing other peoples towbar electrics because of those cheapo nasties. connect a good earth loop and drill a hole and take back all the paint so you get a good solid earth and screw it down with a decent star washer. always use a seperate earth for amps. if your cabling is half decent then its got to be at least cabable of handling 15+amps which you cant piggyback off any earth cable anyway hence your problem of a feedback.

is the seatbelt holder a good earth point?

i never earth off a non specific earth bolt already in place tbh but if you were to use the belt point make sure you remove the paint from the body side!
I will sand back all the paint, sorry to sound stupid new to all of this but where would I still a new hole?
