Yeah, sure.

Tell you what, if those gains are real I'll get one for my 182 and go out chasing down Focus RS's...

Never heard of them but going by their name Is it another spinny thing that claims it generates vortex's?

Well I have sent them an email asking for more information.

IF i was able to get hold of a complete system from them, who would want to fit and test it on a rolling road?

I emailed yesterday.

He phoned me today thanking me for informing him that theres no such thing as a 2001 nova.

He then went on to tell me that all the figures are true because they have been tested out on a rolling road.
They cant possibly be wrong, if they were the company would be in 'big trouble' for advertising fake figures.

I asked about a vortex for a 172 and he said..

We put the vortext on the back box on the clios because they are lowered.

Wtf

Actually he has a valid point that there is restricted space where the centre box is, I've just made a custom exhaust for a 172 and even a 125mm round silencer was a squeeze!

doesnt stop the product being nonsense of course but he is right about where it will fit or not.

Surely they'll be screwed if some one does buy their system and has a RR graph of before fitment and then after fitment to realise that they would only be getting 1-2bhp or even -2bhp over standard figures.

Take it back to the company and have them done for false advertisement, misleading figures, blind sighted representation etc etc....

They are saying they made that power including a remap, so I guess they would point to your remap not being good enough to support the exhaust, or down to a fault with your car or the rollers, would be really hard to take to court, especially as all gains are normally "up to" for this sort of thing.
But I did notice on the site they actually totally stupidly worded it as :
Jackanory said:
With a Vortex™ raceflo exhaust you'll get at least a 10% increase in brake horse power (BHP), and more than a 15% increase in torque (NM)

But then they also say:

So down to the judge on the day I would imagine!

I asked about the disclaimer while on the phone. He said that was for typos like a 2001 nova. Not the gains.

Although they will say that in court.

Also said that these were all done on standard cars.
Not sure if the website says that as i didnt read it all.

Highest bhp nova road car EVER as standard was the 1600 GTE/GSI with 100bhp.

They are saying a 1200 was well over that before they even started.

SMOKING CRACK!

I forget not everyone has a completely nerdy obsessive knowledge of novas, I just assumed everyone realised, lol

Lol. Yeah it would seem to be a better option.

I should of prepared some questions but he cought me off guard!

When I worked for a race team, we ran vortex systems and found a whopping 12bhp extra using these on a fiesta st! We did before and after RR back to back on the same day to prove!
I can't guarantee all what they say, but they did work for us!

Nope! Honestly!
We were running miltek systems originally, which is a far cheaper option! But the gains were clear and so all cars now run vortex systems! That's 4 senior cars and 3 junior cars.
Wouldnt be running them otherwise!
