Supercharged 182

Wait until it makes more torque and you have to get a paddle clutch. F'ing nightmare in slow traffic (but worthwhile just so you can have extra grunt!)

Says he with the glorified mini ;)

Sorry i'll wind my neck back in, i thought it'd only gained around 20 brake as i read it quickly...as for glorified you may have a point but when i blow by you wi my wee brer Paul i'll have the last laugh when you blow the welds on the intake..nah all jokes aside..

I've had 3 Clito's, good cars but i wanted a change and something a bit more professional.

Can u think of a cheaper way to get around 240bhp ?

Aye, buy a faster car.

I can see the appeal but personally i would rather sell the car and buy somthing faster with four wheel drive.

Altering an already quick car to be fast is unknown territory but like said, horses for courses

Who are you again?

Would hardly call it entry level, but then again I don't really care what you think, if I did i'd have a rather boring and sad life.

An entry level BMW would be a 116i, not a JCW Mini with nearly all the options.

  172 - 249bhp @ the wheels
lol, yeah, life is all about status and social standing... on Clio Sport

high post count and a mini = made it ;)

Horses for courses, some want to improve what they already have, some want something else entirely. Like you say, would be boring if we all did the same as each other, can you imagine a car park full of 1*2's with colour coded bits, megane splitters and turini's? lol

About 4k IIRC.
Is that not quite pricey, given that there are Honda dealers supplying the Tts supercharger for the ctr (337bhp) for £5k? That's fully fitted etc.

CTR is a better engine that responds better to most modifications, it's still £1k more however you look at it. No one is forcing people to do it anyway.

Precisely. Plus the CTR engine has a higher rev band to play with. Supercharger and VTEC y0' = quick.

Best add running two small businesses, the other mini that i bought for my misses, a few holidays a year and generally a good standard of life, but then i don't roll in an 'itb'd' Clito therefore i'm not accepted anymore on here then i best take it personally tell everyone im leaving and not update my membership again, i'll jus give you the tenner instead and you can use the tenner to update your membership so you can post more narrow mindedness than your current 10 post limit.

Have a nice day x

I looked at these before i got the clio, the costs advertised dont include Hondata which is required so thats another £700+. Then youve got to add vat in which the stage one comes to the same price as KTEC's kit

Taken from tts advertising form.

"This conversion requires the Hondata K-pro ECU to complement the installation." (Right at the end page 1)

And this is taken from the stage 2.
"The durability of the standard engine and transmission is compromised by this conversion. For maximum reliability both engine and transmission work should be undertaken.
This conversion requires the Hondata K-pro ECU to complement the installation."

This is then priced at 4700 without the upgrades it is said thats needed.

Then the cost of a type R?

Thats why i went for a clio as it was half the price for a 172 and it keeps with my mates type R when he bought it and does better in corners

1k's worth of bottom end upgrade and you'd probably be able to run 300+bhp's worth of boost through the Clio engine anyway!

IIRC these Supercharger conversions are pegged back to safe levels not maxing out
