Supercharged V6 ( 56k Warning! )

Did anyone hear about the V6 that K-Tec supercharged? think it was the first in the UK or somet!

Little did i know its an old mates dad who owns it and lives about a mile from me! see it outside the house every day but didnt realise it was the same one till i saw the back of it!

erm - the old man would be me then!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave didnt do it but there are more than a few bits of his on the car and its running about 340-370 bhp depending on road or track mapping.

supercharged V6 and a Z4???? What line of work are you in? (if you dont mind me asking).
whats the Z4 like to drive? I love the look of them.

so how does the filter suck the air in on a v6? is that what the vents are for on the side?

i was reffering to your invitation to pleasure you.

No the pic doesnt impress me, overexposure.....but the engine, yea...its a beaut.

But would really like to see 6 snorting TBs sticking out....but we all got our fetishes eh!

And you, you just want me to funk you! ;)

doesnt it get hot in there with the engine cover off?
Arent you the chap who has the perspex window fitted behind the seats?

Ill sort some video out next weekend if someone can tell me how to upload it!!!!!!!!

Amusing sounds are - fuels pumps engaging for 10 seconds at ignition - ridiculous induction roar which pick up small rodent from the left intake - 100db from the back at 7600rpm (no cats and straight through box) and the bangs as the flames come out on the overrun. Oh and the batmobile whine from the charger - apart from that youd never know anything had been done!!

Its a rotrex centrifugal charger running 1 bar boost - engine fully rebuilt /balanced with HKS pistons at 8.1:1compression

Crowns are treated and a good basic design - plenty of fat for machining the valve clearances I needed

ahh right!....so did you specify pin and compression heights, bore, taper crown thickness etc etc....or was it a by chance sort of thing?

Sounds nice.

All specified by the engine builder (grumpy) and machined for clearances in the machine shop
