supersprint manifold for hybrid....

im thinking about buying 1 of these for my hybrid valver, currently got the std valver manifold on, specs willy 2.0l , piper fast road cams and pulleys, hillpower chip which is mapped to my car afaik ( stage 2) bb-decat, scorpian system and std airbox with itg going on for the minute until my bmc arrives. power at the mo is 145atw. should i get the manifold as it is quoted as giving a std 1.8 16v 7bhp so should give mine abit more??

The supersprint manifolds are top notch and will make a noticeable improvement.

The problem (or maybe not) is the standard one is connected to the block iirc on some mount which obviously stabilises the movement of the manifold.

The s/s one doesn't have this and a lot of peoples concerns are the movement of the manifold might make it crack.

I'm sure someone who knows what they're talking about will tell you properly lol!

oh well, looks like ill b ordering 1 of these then. how hard r they to fit or how much does it cost to fit. plattsy did u mean buy a 2nd hand 1, do u know of any for sale??

ive heard reports that they dont offer any real gains over the standard williams 4-1 manifold. bearing in mind the other mods u have though i suppose there is nothing else u could spend that sort of cash on to get any more gains. they do look mint though.

custom exhaust manifolds are a rite ballache to make and would be deerer than the supersprint manifold thats proven to be upto the job

i'm surprised you didnt get nick to get you the manifold when it was up there i think he gets them at reasonable prices

I have the supersprint on mine.It looks good but on my car I cant say it made much/any difference to performance.It costs a lot IMO!
