suspension mount problem

after having my front and rear suspension mounts changed under the aktis update, the car still rattled like f**k on hard cornering. But this weekend i had the eibach springs fitted, and the rattling has disappeared completey. Strange but im happy!!!!

WOooo hoooo. I had mine done the other week at Renault (strangely I cant see a visual difference) - but it seems to have done the trick. Eibach springs do seem like a good option, I was gonna get them on my Lupo a while back. Are these lowering springs mate? If so, how big a drop? Any pics?

yeah they lower it by 20mm front and 15 mm rear. Not a lot, but u can tell the difference on a cup pretty well. No pics yet. Should of took before and after pics really!!

I was told by Reno they know about the knocking / sqeaking on the suspension but as yet ther is no fix.........

Looks like thats the only thing I can do then. I suppose Ive got an excuse to get it lowered and if Renault have anything to say about it Ill just point out that they are incapable of fixing the problem!!

3 times in and they have admitted defeat. When I booked the car in for a service earlier they asked if they had seen it before, I said "yes, its the knocking 172".

Can someone tell me what the aktis update is? My Cup has had 4 new front shox fitted, top mounts modded & it still knocks/rattles from the front. It aint terrible, but still bugs me that a £13000 new car knocks, and Reno cant fix it. Am I going to need to shell out for aftermarket springs & risk the warranty? Im only 6500 miles & 7 months into it.

Still a quick car though!

mi9nes been in today and on the drive home all seems fine. The woman said ive had new engine mounts and front suspension. Well well wait and see if it comes back, didnt think theyd change it all mind you, probably havent , just tightened a few bits up.

I was told that the fix only works on 8/10 cars. Sounds like me and Dootchy have the 2.
