Erm....correct me if I'm wrong, but i have the cup packed 182, doesn't that mean i have the suspension package, if so wouldnt this be the same as the 182 cup anyway.

yeah thats correct. i was thinking you had a 172 for some reason!

they dont need to come off just look at the dampers under the bump stops you will usually see they are covered in oil with loads of s**t stuck to the oil, or if they have been gone a while you will likely see the remains of where the oil was!

Driving along today, dad was following in the car behind and said the back left wheel was kind of bouncing when the car went over the slightest bump, so took the rear left shock off and it doesn't seem to act like a damper, it act more like a sort of pogo stick, you push down on it and it pushes back up just as hard and fast, guessing this is broken, as i thought it would be a nice slow smooth compression and extension if the piston shaft, if i replace this should i buy a pair?

Sounds like its goosed to me mate, it should be a smooth constant rate of return. And yes definately do them in pairs ;)

Went to renault and got a pair of rear shocks for £96, took off the back right which seemed to be having issues and it was like a pogo stick, when i compressed it, it sprung back just as quick, so must have been totally drained of oil, since changing both the shocks, what a difference they have made to the way my car drives, really holds the corners now, love it.
