Taking out the panel under the heater switches

It's my first post so hi

I was wondering how to remove the panel at the centre of the dash under the heater switches so I can take out one of cables that is connected to my headunit. The guy at halfords did it easily a week ago, I just can't remember how, and I'm a complete noob at this stuff

any help would be appreciated!

The panel in question is clipped in a the top in two places. It simply slides forward as one piece. Do not try to pull it downwards as this will break the clips.

Pull it straight towards you and it should come out.
