Test Drove 182 Today.

  ExigeV6|Q5|DS3|Fiat

Was intrigued to see what all the fuss was about, so test drove one for half an hour today and was impressed.........sort of....

The looks are good, build quality looked solid (yes strange for renualt), grey alloys looked good and overall was quite impressed from this little pocket rocket.

On the road it seemed to go well, i was waiting the legendary kick at 4/5k rpm (16v owners know what im on about) but it was more of a gradual progression to the redline with a little push just after 4.5k rpm from the VVT i was told.

Handling seemed responsive and agile, however seemed to lack full control when throwing it into corners, what i mean by this is the steering felt light.

Overall great little car, this one had all the options and certainly had a smile on my face when i got out. :)

Just thought id share that with you lot.

not in mine its not, in first and second I get a really noticeable boost when it hits 5k, rockets to the red line from then on!

I disagree, mine loves being thrown into corners and as yet I havent managed to get it to understeer, it just ponts wherever I send it with no trouble at all, amazing grip and very direct, the steering is also a very nice weight, not light like these new fangled electric power steering the megane now gets, just about right

of course these are also only my opinions, but I have been testing it for a while now and seem to know it well!

dont you just love getting that little green gear stick light to flash at you!:D

*edit*

If anyone has played NFS Underground on the PS2 and loves the drag racing like me, it is just the same, you only change when that green light lights up, just before or just after and you end up feeling robbed!

Dave 182, i think the handling thing is down to my own personal taste, im so used to the 16v/williams handling that it seems so much lighter.

Obviously with this car the good points outlay the bad points by far and dave i think you spent your money well. :).........i may just think about putting down a deposit myself!
