The best way to spend 2k !!!!!!

Hi everyone i have about 2 grand to spend i was gonna put it on a deposit on rolex but i am thinking of spending it my car now has anyone got an ideas what to get its standard the now i was thinking about gettin a pc some h&r coilovers an a viper induction kit an a cold air feed an mabye new exhaust or get a de-cat... but i would really love a THROTTLE BODY KIT but i will start with some mods 1st an mabye later in life if i can get a bit of cash behind me mabye it might come true... well its good to dream

If you really want to spend it on your car go for H&R's,decat,exhaust,maxogen and a remap. Should see you to high 180's with that.

i no, this is what i would do actually, mod up your car!! i spend all my money doing my car up and i love it!! its fun and the outcome of you owning a car looking nice and how u want it is the best!

If I had that amount, I'd have...

for the brakes...
- Brembo/Renaultsport group N rally discs
- Ferodo DS 2500 pads
- BFgoodridge braided hoses
- AP551 brake liquid

for the engine...
- ITG (panel filter or maxogen)

- A goood exhaust (Orbisoud, BTB or Hayward & Scott)-cos the OE will go to pieces, no matter how many times you change it...-

for the chassis...
- Some lighter alloys (182 ones suck!)

- If you haven't got the cup pack, put the alloys and exhaust to waiting list and look for some H&Rs, Yozza's bilsteinPSS9 or a LEDA coilies...

More than this, would not be very sensible if it is an everyday used car

It's scary when people say they have £2k but i'm sure most of us have spent that amount on mods, just stretched over time.

I would always spend money on suspension before engine stuff.

If your happy to spend the money on a watch i'd say get a watch, but get something classy like a Tag Heuer Monaco or daytona. Rolex's are for Rappers, Rolex rely on reputation, the're not actually that good when compared to other premium watches.

A watch would be a sound investment. I spent about 1.5k on a tag watch when i was 17. I am now 26 and i can honestly say i still wear my tag everyday, its never broken and still on the same battery. Its out lasted every car i have had by a number of years.

Thats also a good investment! Mat has had a couple of BTB's for his saxo which originally set him back about £500 i think. The first one was nigh on destroyed after the big accident at Bedford he still got about £250 for that! He got another one for the new car he was gonna build. He got it used of a mate cheap but when he decided not to build a new car he sold the BTB (2 years old or so) for £380. So yeah, don't get a watch, get a BTB and Shed Motorsport 4-pot kit!

Personally I could'nt care less about a watch. Like Martin says theres a clock in your car / on your phone. Invest 2 grand into a house. If you want to do stuff to your car do a bit at a time and to a car you plan to keep for a while. I spent 2 grand out just like that on mine, Sort of regret it a bit, But I plan to keep mine for a good number of years and already have a house so it was really a Christmas present to myself.

Personally I'd not spend it on the car and save for a house/holiday/track days.

If you do want to spend on the car then Leda or H and R coilover and then some 4 pot brakes and the rest on track days learning how to use them all.

It does my head in when i forget to wear my watch, its just a thing. 2G on a watch though seems a tad on the extreme side, unless u have money to burn. Sound investment but I would be worried about scratches anything.

cheers for the reply's i was gonna spend 5k on the watch an thats 2nd hand i was gonna take me over a year to pay off but i have 2k the now to spend an i was thinking of spendin it on the car.... i just cant save really, I would love an evo but there just a tad to much for me the now, Thats how i was gonna just get some mods for the clio so i would see where my money went rather than blow it an not having anything to show for it !
