Always had a soft spot for the Astra GSi - i’ve seen this one before and it appears to be absolutely immaculate.

Also clocked a 550 Maranello, apologies for the poor picture, i believe these have shot up in value recently, never seen a black one before, absolutely stunning cars.

I always liked those Astras too. Needs a better plate and the badges removing from the bumper, but still a good looking car.

I recall the Corsa used to have the GSi badge on the bumper, i gather thats not standard on the Astra?

Remember test driving one of those Astra GSIs not long after I’d bought my 172 as I really liked the look of them.

Any love for them was soon lost after a minute or so driving as the gearbox felt awful, like stirring porridge.

I’m a big fan of a gsi but agree that plate is s**t.

The f23 box in them is the worst. They were pretty much a service consumable on mine. Admittedly not quite as bad as the JC5. Gear linkage is cables and they go sloppy. Can’t remember who it was now, but someone used to sell a linkage kit and short shift and they felt great after that. I eventually ended up running a f28 from a early 90s cav turbo. 6 speed too which was a winner

Colour in the sun was lush. The attention to detail was immense.

I spotted a black mitsubishi EVO 6 yesterday. Unfortunately it was sporting a chameleon tint on the windscreen and headlamps so needs to drive into a large body of water with the owner securely locked within.
